MOONSHINE

At 12 years old, Thomas Lawson ran away from home to become a clerk in a Boston bank, and soon began speculating in stocks. He was a principal mover in the promotion of companies trying to establish the small town of Grand Rivers, Kentucky as a major steel-producing city. Lawson specialized in shares of copper-mining companies, which were then a staple of the Boston stock market, and became a multimillionaire during the copper boom of the late 1890s.

A little slice of comfort

Fun place to sit at the copper top bar and people watch, with a nice cocktail and have dinner if you like that arrangement. They have tables also to relax and eat there. Open on weekends ; call and make sure they are open. Will return.

Nice ambience

We had a wonderful first time experience for lunch. Great service, menu and food! We will be back! Oh and nice ambience!

Service was excellent

The menu is very good with a bit for everyone. We ordered three appetizers, the cheese bites, the tots, and crab patties. All were delicious.
I had the ribeye, and it was cooked to perfection.
Service was excellent.

OMG all the food just awesome

Never been here and it our first time the tots appetizer are just amazing and I had a shrimp tacos omg all the food just awesome.

The Piano singer was great

Cheese bites were amazing!!! Strawberry/Kiwi margarita was really really good as well!! My Mich Ulta was super cold too, just the way I like them. The Piano singer was great and playing all our songs!! Can't wait to try their Tacos, they smelled so good from the bar.

Something for everyone

T. Lawson's Grill was great! I feel that there is something for everyone. For appetizer I recommend the loaded tater tots, delish! For Dinner you can't go wrong. We enjoyed a burger and the shrimp and grits. Other members on our party had fish tacos, fish sandwich , and chicken tenders. All were equally as good. The portions were good and the prices were reasonable.

Definitely coming back

Such a fun and unique spot! We ordered the pretzel appetizer (pretzel was MASSIVE with a generous dish of fresh beer cheese) the fish tacos (the best damn fish tacos I've EVER had) the fried chicken sandwich and the Copper Kings Burger. The fried chicken sandwich was good, would be a lot better if they had dipped it in sauce or added more sauce on the sandwich. The burger looked good and was topped with pimento cheese. Definitely coming back next time we visit LBL.

Hands down one of the best meals we have eaten

Visited T Lawsons this past Sunday night. The special of the night was fried pork cutlet with gravy, homemade mashed potatoes, and green beans. Hands down one of the best meals we have eaten in many years. They were busy but service was still great. The four in our party agreed the dinner was excellent.

A must visit when in the area.

Waiting for a reservation at Patti's and came here for a drink.... And VERY GLAD I DID! This place is awesome and has a great menu. Patti's was of course great but next time I'm in town I'm gonna eat here.

The bar tender was extremely friendly and talked about the history of the bar and Mr. Lawson. So much history packed into such a small town.

This is just a really cool bar and grill with awesome menu options. A must visit when in the area. I'll be back!
